In Bollywood, controversy frequently accompanies success. The case of Ranveer Singh is one instance of this kind. The actor is making headlines once more after the massive success of Dhurandhar, but for some different reasons. His alleged departure from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has generated a lot of interest in the entertainment industry lately. The actor’s fans want to know what went wrong and what it might mean for him going forward.
Ranveer Singh left Don 3 for what reason?
Reports claim that Ranveer Singh left the eagerly awaited project because of disagreements about creativity. According to the allegations, the actor also expressed disapproval of the script and asked for certain revisions. However, he reportedly left the project since the final manuscript did not meet his standards. According to a source, Ranveer says he quit the movie because he didn’t like the screenplay. He wasn’t happy with the final draft and kept requesting revisions. However, Excel asserts that they didn’t begin pre-production until Singh given his OK.
The production company, however, reportedly started pre-production after getting the actor’s consent, thus the team found his abrupt departure difficult to handle and aceept.
Excel is Asking for Compensation from Ranveer Singh
According to recent reports, Excel Entertainment, which is owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is now requesting Rs 40 crore in compensation from Ranveer Singh for the losses they incurred while making the movie. However, Ranveer is allegedly denying the allegation, arguing that he shouldn’t be held financially liable because his departure was due to creative dissatisfaction rather than contractual negligence.
Does the Producers Guild intervene?
According to industry insiders, the Producers Guild of India (PGI) also intervened to settle the dispute and hold additional talks with the production company and the actor.
