Actor Akshay Kumar was overjoyed when he learned that his "Namastey London" co-star, Katrina Kaif, is expecting her first child with husband and actor Vicky Kaushal. He showered the couple with love and a special request for their little one.

On Tuesday, Katrina and Vicky delighted their fans when they announced via Instagram post that they were expecting their first child. As soon as the news broke that Katrina and Vicky are expecting their first child, friends, family, and fans showered them with congratulations and wishes.

Akshay sent blessings to the couple in the comments section of Katrina's pregnancy announcement post and made a special request.

"So totally happy for you Katrina and Vicky. Knowing you, I can say that you two will make the best parents," Akshay wrote. His message didn't end there; he further wrote, "Just teach the baby English and Punjabi equally ;) Lots of love and blessings. Jai Mahadev."

A few days ago, Akshay called Katrina his favorite heroine.

This news came just a few days after Akshay openly said that Katrina is his favorite heroine.

"My favorite heroine... I've actually worked with everyone. (pauses) Katrina [Kaif]," he said on the show Aap Ki Adalat.

Akshay and Katrina have starred in eight Bollywood films together: Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Blue (2009), De Dana Dan (2009), Tees Maar Khan (2010), and Sooryavanshi (2021).

On Tuesday, Vicky and Katrina announced their pregnancy on Instagram, ending months of speculation.

The couple shared a black-and-white Polaroid photo in which a visibly pregnant Katrina is looking at her baby bump with a gentle smile, and Vicky, whose head is resting near her shoulder, is lovingly cradling the baby bump. Sharing the picture, Vicky and Katrina wrote:

“On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”

Katrina and Vicky had a royal wedding in 2021 at Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. They have never done a movie together.
