Thamma Trailer Out Now: Ayushmann Khurrana & Rashmika Mandanna’s Horror-Comedy Spectacle
Bollywood fans, gear up! Maddock Films has finally dropped the much-awaited trailer of Thamma, and it’s nothing short of a cinematic dhamaka. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the film promises a deadly combo of horror, comedy, action, and romance – all packed into one blockbuster entertainer.
The trailer introduces us to a world where legends revive, love bleeds, and humor meets horror in the most unexpected way. With Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal leading the cast, Thamma is set to be a Diwali 2025 spectacle.
A Bloody, Wild & Entertaining Storyline
In the trailer, we see Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka, reviving a 1000-year-old legend, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Yakshaashan delivers bone-chilling dialogues. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Alok shocks viewers with bloodshot eyes, no pulse, and sunlight burning his skin – turning him into something beyond human.
The VFX and visuals are on another level – action, horror, beasts, and madness, all wrapped with Maddock Films’ signature comic timing. At the heart of it all lies a twisted love story, making Thamma not just a horror-comedy but also a family entertainer.
Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe (MHCU) Grows Bigger
With Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya, Maddock Films laid the foundation of its horror-comedy universe. Now, Thamma takes MHCU to the next stage.
Producer Dinesh Vijan shared, “Our goal has always been to bring forgotten Indian folklore alive. With Thamma, we’ve scaled up in story, ambition, and technology. This is just the beginning of a long-term vision of Indian stories for Indian and global audiences.”
Co-producer Amar Kaushik added, “Thamma is the first love story in MHCU. It balances horror, humor, and heart – a total family entertainer this Diwali.”
Ayushmann & Rashmika on Joining MHCU
Excited about his role, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “Playing Alok is one of the most challenging roles of my career. He’s flawed, vulnerable, yet suddenly burdened with powers he doesn’t understand. Thamma will define the next chapter of India’s horror-comedy space.”
Rashmika Mandanna added, “Thamma is special because it combines horror, comedy, folklore, and love. Playing Tadaka has been both exciting and tough, but I can't wait for audiences to see it.”
Director Aditya Sarpotdar concluded, “Thamma is scarier, funnier, and wilder than anything we’ve done before in MHCU. This is just the beginning of how crazy this universe can get.”
Thamma Release Date
Mark your calendars – Thamma hits theaters on October 21, 2025. This Diwali, experience a film that’s bigger, bloodier, and bolder, bringing a new chapter to the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe.
