Akshay Kumar’s Advice to Newcomers: “Never Sign 3-Film Deals” | SRK & Akshay’s Viral Filmfare Moment

Akshay Kumar and SRK

Akshay Kumar's golden advice: "Newcomers, never sign a 3-film deal" – A candid moment with Shah Rukh Khan impressed fans.

It's been almost a month since Aryan Khan's debut web series, "The Bads of Bollywood," released on Netflix, but the buzz hasn't subsided. Despite mixed reviews, the show has become one of the most talked-about OTT releases of 2025. Now, Akshay Kumar has joined the conversation and offered some strong advice for newcomers.

SRK asked, "What advice would you give to new actors?"

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were seen together on the stage of the recent Filmfare Awards. The two had a fun-filled and meaningful conversation that went viral on social media. SRK asked Akshay,

"If you had to give one piece of advice to newcomers, what would you say?"

Akshay replied with a smile, "I want to tell all newcomers – never sign a three-film deal with any producer."

He continued, "You must have seen 'The Baddies of Bollywood'. The struggles the hero faces in it show everyone what a debutante should and shouldn't do. Debut actors should be given freedom. Instead of keeping them confined, let them fly – if they're truly talented, they'll come back."

“Work brings money, money doesn't bring work” – Akshay Kumar's mantra

Sharing his thoughts, Akshay said,

“I always say, ‘Money attracts money,’ but I believe that work brings money. No work is too small. Sometimes I like a film's story, but my role is small, but I still do it because I feel it will become a part of history.”

This statement perfectly showcases his grounded nature and professionalism.

Bollywood and the Old Connection of 3-Film Deals

There are multiple examples in Bollywood where actors are forced to sign 3-film or multi-film deals—but when the first film flops, the remaining projects never materialize.

Coincidentally, two actors from *The Bads of Bollywood**—Lakshya and Anya Singh—were also involved in similar deals.

Lakshya signed a 3-film deal with Dharma Productions. His debut film, *Kill*, was released, but *Dostana 2* and *Bedhadak* never released.

Anya Singh signed a 3-film contract with YRF in 2016. Her debut film, *Qaadi Band* (2017), opposite Aadar Jain, flopped, and the remaining projects were shelved.

This statement by Akshay directly highlights the same struggles – that newcomers should get freedom and a fair chance, without any binding deal.

SRK aur Akshay ka iconic hug

Fans ke liye ek nostalgia moment tha jab Shah Rukh Khan aur Akshay Kumar ek stage par aaye. Dono ne ek warm hug share kiya, jo instantly viral ho gaya. Pehle dono Dil Toh Pagal Hai me ek saath dikh chuke hain, aur cameo roles me Om Shanti Om aur Heyy Babyy me bhi nazar aaye the. Fans ab chahte hain ki dono ek full-fledged film me phir saath aayein.

Work Front Update: Akshay & Shah Rukh ke upcoming projects

Akshay Kumar ne abhi recently Priyadarshan ke saath apni next film Haiwaan ki shooting wrap ki hai, jisme wo reportedly ek negative role play kar rahe hain. Unki last release Jolly LLB 3 thi jisme Arshad Warsi ke saath unka courtroom comedy avatar fans ko pasand aaya.

Shah Rukh Khan, jo iss saal ke Filmfare Awards ke host bhi the, ne apna pehla National Award jeeta hai. Filhaal wo Siddharth Anand ke saath apni next big film King ki shooting kar rahe hain, jiska pehla look unke 60th birthday par launch hone ki umeed hai.
