The long-rumored connection between Deepika Padukone and The White Lotus seems to be back in the spotlight, as new rumors indicate that she might appear in the critically acclaimed show’s upcoming fourth season.
Deepika will reportedly appear in season 4 of the Emmy-winning dark comedy anthology, along with stars Chris Messina and Helena Bonham Carter, among others, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle. According to the journal, the main venue for the upcoming season will be the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, France.
It’s crucial to remember that neither the studio nor the creators have officially confirmed Deepika’s participation. At this point, her involvement in the project is still purely hypothetical.
Deepika’s name was previously associated with the series. She was reportedly in negotiations to join BLACKPINK’s Lisa for season 3 in 2024. She reportedly chose to opt out, though, because she was pregnant. Even while those rumors were never officially verified, they generated a lot of discussion about a potential Hollywood streaming debut in a well-known ensemble show.

The White Lotus was created by Mike White and is renowned for its humorous portrayal of privilege, wealth, and interpersonal relationships against the backdrop of opulent resort locations. While occasionally bringing back old characters, each season presents a fresh cast of characters.

Production of the fourth season is scheduled to start in the spring. It is not expected to be released before the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027. The plot has not been revealed in detail.
