Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection Day 4: First Monday Result of Akshay Kumar-Arshad Warsi Film

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB 3 received positive reviews. The film performed well over the weekend, but was slightly affected on Monday.

Box Office Numbers Breakdown

On Monday, the film earned a single-digit collection of ₹5.50 crore, taking its total to ₹59 crore.

Over the weekend, the film grossed a total of ₹41 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned a decent opening day gross of ₹12.5 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the weekend performance, writing:

"#JollyLLB3 posted an excellent opening weekend total, with strong Saturday and Sunday performances keeping the film in a good position.

"Sunday business could have been slightly higher, but the #INDvPAK cricket match had an impact on collections [from evening onwards].

“Now the film will have to deliver strong numbers on weekdays, starting Monday… As long as there are no major releases till October 2nd—#KantaraChapter1 and #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari—this will work in the film's advantage.”

History

Released in 2013, directed by Subhash Kapoor and produced by Fox Star Studios, Jolly LLB was a sleeper hit. The film starred Arshad Warsi as advocate Jolly Tyagi, with Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. Reportedly made on a decent budget of ₹10 crore, the film was successful due to good word-of-mouth and earned ₹48.7 crore at the box office.

Four years later, the sequel Jolly LLB 2 was released, with Akshay Kumar playing the lead as advocate Jolly Mishra.

Subhash Kapoor returned to direct the sequel, which also featured Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, and Kumud Mishra. Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, and Brijendra Kala reprised their characters from the original film. The new film has brought Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi together for the first time.
